tongue tumbles

here’s what I was trying to say

when you and I were talking and I felt

as if

words failed me:

I wish for the circle

to be bigger. for

even though society seems to thrive on

it,

lessening

some

in order to raise others

up

doesn’t make sense.

we are better than that

I do believe

within our skin

we are not all bad people—

with agendas

and aggression; oh no.

we are many, good people,

with dreams

and inspirations

I do believe

within our hearts

we are already who we hope to be;

we are already the architects

the life-shifters

yes, the circle makers! so then

let us widen it!

let us

make the circle

even just a little bit, a whole lotta bigger.

wouldn’t that be easier

softer

wiser

more loving?

it is love, after all,

that is blind to contrasts

for in love we all exist in light.

ah, that word… light.

in sparkles

and brilliance

and feather weight flight.

it is

pure perfection, shared

in delight.

that’s what I was trying to say

Dear Reader: I think about you and wonder, are you well? Does your soul feel settled? Do you know how loved you are? No? I beg of you — shine your light, anyway, my dears. Be light. 🕯️💜🌺☀️🫶🏼🦋⭐️
