Hello, lovelies,
Today was a glorious, sun-shiney day. ☀️ But despite the blue sky and sunbeams, I found myself feeling a bit befuddled and asunder: Earlier this afternoon, life happened quicker than I wanted it to – a.k.a., I was swimming in self-doubt, and didn’t exactly put my best foot forward. Have you been there, too? Maybe you can relate.
But then we couldn’t have timed it any better, because my daughter, cousin and I had booked a candlelight yoga class for tonight, which was beautiful, meditative, and like a tonic for the soul. Wherever you are, know you are love. 💜
Below is an I’m-so-proud-of-you, teeny poem I shared back in March, for my dear teacher, Amie McNee, upon the release of her non-fiction book, We Need Your Art: Stop Messing Around and Make Something… also a tonic for the creative soul — however one defines creative. (I think simply being human puts us all in the “creative” category.) xo

You can find Amie and all her wisdom here and on her socials @inspiredtowrite.
(I call her a modern-day Yoda. ☺️)
And a shout-out to Head House Books in Philadelphia for being most excellent hosts. I can’t wait to come back and visit. 🤩
