restless feelings

give way to release;

wishful hearts

pave the way to peace

and anywho

tick

tock.

tick. tock

still— hums the sound of time,

spinning round and round and

sometimes

I want to stop it, please.

to my surprise, 

all aboard!

is announced over loudspeakers—

all aboard!—

and the wheels begin friction-ing; 

they are ready for action, even though

yesternight,

I cared not to hear the rhythm

of the passage of

hope-ings traveling

on…

and yet… 

upon this night’s final call

I know no other choice but to 

break into sprint—

whispers on the wind uttering,      

adventure

on
