Several years ago, we visited the Chuang Yen Monastery, which sits on 225 gorgeous acres in Carmel, NY. The magnificent Buddha inside the temple does indeed stretch to the ceiling, and is the largest indoor Buddhist statue in the Western Hemisphere. Cool.
Photo above was taken by my husband, Andrew, as we were strolling the grounds. Photo below was taken how it looks: right under the Buddha; I loved the wow-ness factor my camera lens captured, and was inspired to write a little ditty.
I’m not particularly religious, but I am pretty darn spiritual, and witnessing this place of peace and love, was truly beautiful. That’s all for today. ☺️ Peace out. ✌🏼
