½ teaspoon of bat wing dust

6 ounces of chopped up Marathon Bar

5 ¾ teaspoons of Smarties

1 cup of none-of-your-business

you didn’t think I’d reveal all the ingredients,

did you?

place pewter cauldron

over a low flame, facing East.

combine all ingredients

and

stir together

with a bamboo spoon

36 times—

clockwise direction only!

recite!

“bubble, bubble

roil and rumble,

swirl and boil,

oh, mystical tumble!”

after the 36th stir,

quickly remove the spoon—

in a straight-up fashion! 

as if it popped out of the cauldron!

and now, ask yourself:

is my potion oozy, smokey gray,

stinking of Halloween candy?

yes?! then

it is perfect!

head tilted back in a cackle!
